Franklin College Habitat for Humanity
Franklin
College Habitat for Humanity has established many campus-wide events
and have a board made of 12
students
and 2 faculty members. Some of our main events during the year are
Shanty Village, the Birdhouse Auction, and Habifest. We also
participate in the Collegiate Challenge Spring Break Trips. We have
been to Americus, GA; Cleveland, OH; Huntington, WV; and Lexington,
KY. In 2006 we took a group of 50+ students to Biloxi, Mississippi to
help with hurricane relief. Franklin College Habitat for Humanity has
also helped in forming the local affiliate, Habitat for Humanity of
Johnson County, which has already built two homes in Johnson County.
Franklin College Habitat for Humanity is a strong group of dedicated
students, helping to eliminate substandard housing in the community.
