Grizzlies at Adrian College in NCAA Division III Football Playoffs

Franklin College will travel to Adrian College (Mich.) in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Division III football playoffs.

The Heartland Conference champion Grizzlies (8-2 overall) making their fifth appearance in six years in the NCAA tournament will visit the Bulldogs (9-1) on Saturday, Nov. 17.

Kickoff is set for noon EST.

Franklin College fans may purchase general admission tickets just prior to the contest. Ticket gates at Performance Stadium will open at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Tickets are priced at $8 each for adults and $5 each for senior citizens, children age 3 - 12 and students with a valid I.D. Ticket sales will be limited to Adrian's season ticket holders and campus community prior to Saturday morning.

The stadium main gate will open at 10:30 a.m. Parking will be available in the Dawson lot for $5 per vehicle beginning at 9 a.m. All parking is on first-come, first-served basis.

Adrian, which captured the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association title and an automatic bid, will be hosting a NCAA playoff game for the first time.

Other first-round games in the Grizzlies' bracket include No. 1 seed Mary Hardin-Baylor (10-0) hosting Louisiana College (8-2); Cortland State (8-1) hosting Framington State (10-1); and Wesley (8-1) hosting Mount Ida (8-2).

The NCAA Committee selected teams based on conference results and competition within an institution's respective evaluation region.
