Remsburg holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Indianapolis and a master's degree from Illinois State University. She previously worked at Naperville North High School in Illinois and the University of Richmond, an NCAA Division I school, in Virginia. As a result, she brings a wealth of experience to Franklin College.

Her career experience also includes working with top athletes as a member of the United States Olympic Committee, and she was part of the medical staff at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Remsburg is very involved in the Indiana Athletic Trainers' Association and was named to its Hall of Fame in 2005. She also is the author of a chapter in the textbook Perspectives in Athletic Training by Elsevier Publishers.

Remsburg is the mother of three boys and is active with their sports teams.
