Wendy (Shuler) Hagn is the director of church relations for Franklin College. Hagn previously worked for Franklin College in the late 1980s during the Design the Future Campaign to rebuild the campus. In addition, she served on the Alumni Council for six years and was president of that group from 2002-03. She returned to the Franklin College Institutional Advancement staff in November 2004 to become the director of Alumni Relations. In February 2008, Hagn was asked to become the Director of Church Relations because of her strong relationships with American Baptists of Indiana/Kentucky, Greater Indianapolis, and others in the ABC-USA family.

From 1994-2004, she was the director of church and community relations for Baptist Homes of Indiana. In that position, she served as the coordinator for the American Baptist Senior Adult Days, American Baptist retired ministers and spouses reunions and annual (ecumenical) Conferences on Ministry with the Aging. Hagn also was formerly a member of ABC/IN-KY Region personnel committee, a past advisor to the American Baptist Region Youth Board and was previously a national board member for American Baptist Homes and Caring Ministries (ABC-USA).

While a college student, she was The Almanack yearbook editor and a member of Delta Delta Delta, Student Foundation, Student Admissions Corps, The Gathering singing group and International Club. Hagn was a double major in journalism (public relations/advertising) and Spanish.

A lifelong American Baptist, she enjoys church-related activities, writing poetry, traveling and hiking in the Adirondack Mountains (Upstate New York), where she has family ties. Hagn grew up in southeastern Ohio and now resides in Franklin with her husband.
