Professor Cohoon began teaching the physics portion of the science/science methods course for elementary education majors at Franklin College when the class began in 2004. Prior to that, she taught algebra I, chemistry and several levels of physics at Franklin Community High School from 1983 - 2001.

Cohoon received her B.S. from the University of Evansville (Cum Laude) in 1966 and her Masters from Indiana University in 1988.

Since retirement from full-time teaching, she has worked in her local church and done some tutoring at Needham Elementary School. Cohoon and her husband Keith have two grown sons.
