Andrew Hendricks was appointed head coach of the Franklin College men's and women's swimming and diving team prior to the program's 2008-09 club season. In one year, he and the team were successful at transitioning to a fully accredited NCAA III swim team for both male and female student athletes.

Hendricks came to Franklin with extensive competitive swimming experience over a 30 year span. He has competed at every level of swimming and has coached swimmers of all ages. He is a current U.S. Masters swimmer and has helped coach several individuals towards successful triathlon training. He was a junior Olympic time qualifier and trained under famed and Olympic swim coach James "Doc" Councilman.

Hendricks holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Indiana University. He resides locally with his wife and their three daughters.
