Lauren is the woodwind instructor at Franklin College. She received both her Bachelor of Music as well as her Master of Music degrees from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Lauren has collaborated with many great musicians, including William Winstead, Martin James, Michael Burns, Fumiko Yamashita, and Nancy McAllister.

Lauren recently worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Music Theory department at CCM where she has experience tutoring students and teaching Graduate Music Theory and Analysis. She has experience teaching private Bassoon, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Recorder, Piano, and Violin lessons in addition to Preschool General Music and Upper Elementary Music.

Lauren is currently the Adjunct Bassoon Professor at Earlham College in Richmond, IN. She has experience managing a music studio, and has started her own music business called Prelude, Inc. Lauren serves as the Musical Art Scholarship Committee Chairman of the Three Arts Scholarship Fund.

Lauren is a contracted bassoonist with the Richmond (IN) Symphony Orchestra and has performed with many other orchestras, including the Dayton (OH) Philharmonic, the Springfield (OH) Symphony Orchestra, the Middletown (OH) Symphony Orchestra, the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, the Muncie (IN) Symphony Orchestra. In her spare time Lauren enjoys arranging music for various ensembles, making bassoon reeds, working on her instrumental conducting, running, and practicing pilates and yoga.
