Dr. Amy Bracken received her B.A. in Biology from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Indiana University. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Psychology Department at Indiana University - Purdue University - Indianapolis (IUPUI). Her primary interests lie in the area of behavioral neuroscience and physiological psychology. Her dissertation and postdoctoral research dealt with the neurobiological underpinnings of alcoholism, including developmental and genetic factors that influence the complex relationships between the brain and drug-related behaviors. She is a member of the Society for Neuroscience.
At Franklin College, she teaches Psychology of Learning, Physiological Psychology, and Sensation & Perception.
Dr. Bracken enjoys running, cheering for the Colts and the Cubs, and traveling. She and her husband live in Indianapolis with their dog.
