Dr. Scheer earned a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Anderson University, an MBA from Saint Francis College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Indiana University - Fort Wayne, IN.

Dr. Scheer has a background in both business and academics. He has business management experience in marketing and sales, and in manufacturing operations management. He has also served as the Executive Director of a unit of local government, and has several years of management experience in higher education student affairs.

Steve Scheer has over 20 years of experience instructing business and economics courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level; in both traditional and accelerated settings; and in both in-class and online delivery methods. His research interests are in areas of employee motivation, and macroeconomic areas such as measurement of economic activity and its relationship to standards of living.

Steve Scheer and his wife Elizabeth are both joggers. They have two grown sons, Jacob and Andrew; and two pugs, Chloe and Coby.
