On February 1, 2009 Franklin College declared our first action projects kicking off the Academic Quality Improvement model. For more information specifically about AQIP, please visit their website.
AQIP Action Projects
AQIP requires that each institution actively pursue three to four quality improvement action projects. Each institution pursuing this accreditation model must have three to four active quality action projects running at any given time. At the end of our first strategy session, our team came to consensus on our first projects. As Franklin College completes these projects, further projects will be selected to replace retired ones. The current Franklin College action plans are:
- Assessment of LA 100 Courses
- Create a program whereby students participate in a 4 year financial plan
- Design a Program to provide on-campus work for every student who wants to work on campus
- Engage Franklin College Faculty in the campus master facilities planning
- Faculty Development planning for first and second year faculty
- Integrate engaged learning practices fully into the academic program
- Reform the Curricular Change Process for Continuous Improvement
