Campus Master Plan

The 2009 Campus Master Plan is Franklin College's vision of future potential. It provides a framework for reasoned development of campus buildings and grounds. It will guide near-term improvements and long-term development of a distinctive setting. The plan has been developed to support and advance the mission of the institution. Proposals forwarded by the campus plan have been evaluated by the goals inspired by those published in the College's Academic Catalog.
The Campus Master Plan is established in two themes.
The expressed theme for the plan, the future unfolds, celebrates the enduring character of the existing core campus. This theme emerged from discussions and observations that the campus as it has evolved is oriented inward, with most buildings facing upon the Dame Mall and presenting their backs toward the campus's surrounds. The plan identifies opportunities to link to the surrounding context.
The intrinsic theme for the plan of sustainable development advances the College's initiative as signatory to the Presidents Climate Commitment. Franklin College endorses conservation of the natural environment and sustainability.
