The Vasa
Museum was one of the most exceptional sites we visited. The Vasa warship
sank on her maiden voyage in 1628 due to a design that was too tall and
narrow. It sat at the bottom of the Stockholm harbor for over 300 years,
preserved in mud. In 1961, this 62m-long ship was raised and is now housed
in its own museum.
Pictured here
is a replica of the ship, at the museum. Photographing the ship itself
was too daunting a task!
