Applying for Loans

When it comes to applying for loans, students and their parents can rest assured that Franklin College tries to make the process as easy as possible by linking them to reliable lending institutions. Student Loan Entrance Counseling

First-time borrowers must complete the Student Loan Entrance Counseling before applying for Perkins or Stafford loans.


Federal Stafford Loans

These lenders disburse funds electronically to Franklin College, which allows us to post the funds directly into a student's account. To apply for Stafford loans, click on the "Apply Now" button next to the lender on the list from whom you wish to borrow and follow the steps provided to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) for a Federal Stafford Loan. 


Federal PLUS Loans

These lenders disburse funds electronically to Franklin College, which allows us to post the funds directly into a student's account. To apply for a Federal PLUS Loan, click on the "Apply Now" button next to the lender on the list from whom you wish to borrow and follow the steps provided to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) for a Federal PLUS Loan. 


Private/Alternative Loans

These lenders disburse funds electronically to Franklin College, which allows us to post the funds directly into a student's account. To apply for one of these alternative loans, click on the "Apply Now" button next to the lender on the list from whom you wish to borrow and follow the steps provided.
