Mildred Hoover `23 Dean`s Fellow In Chemistry

The Mildred Hoover '23 Dean's Fellow in Chemistry recognizes the commitment of the late Mrs. Hoover to the study of chemistry and to her alma mater. A chemistry major at Franklin and a member of the class of 1923, Mildred Mickel Hoover was employed at Eli Lilly and Company, Indianapolis, Indiana, as an insulin tester. Mrs. Hoover and her late husband, Truman D. Hoover '24, a longtime College trustee and an executive at Eli Lilly, were supportive of their alma mater throughout their lifetimes. The Mildred Hoover '23 Dean's Fellow in Chemistry serves as recognition of the outstanding Chemistry Department at Franklin College, as designated by the donor, the Hoover Family Foundation, Inc.
