Scholarship Details
SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND
The 100 Club of Johnson County was founded in the 1960s to assist widows, sons and daughters of police and firefighters killed in the line of duty. In 1988, the federal government created insurance funds to assure that such protection would be available. At that time, the trustees of the 100 Club decided to expand their focus. Franklin College received funds to endow a scholarship for students from Johnson County.
SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Students must have graduated from Johnson County high schools to be considered for a 100 Club of Johnson County Scholarship. First preference will be given to the children of deceased police and firefighters from Johnson County departments. Second preference will go to children of living county police and firefighters.
