May Dorsey Pre-Seminary Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND

May Dorsey was a resident of Carbondale, IL. Upon her death in 1989, she established several scholarships at colleges across the country. At Franklin College, she set up a scholarship to help pre-seminary students.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Recipients of the Dorsey scholarship must be following a pre-seminary course of study. Recipients are selected by the financial aid office and the chair of the philosophy and religion department.
