Orville I. And Fannie M. Hinkle Endowed Scholarship
SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND
Orville and Fannie Hinkle were farmers in Camden, IN. Mr. Hinkle died in the early 1960s, but Mrs. Hinkle continued to be active in her community and church for more than 20 years following his death. Mrs. Hinkle was known for her kind heart and her willingness to help others. She knew of Franklin College because of its affiliation with the American Baptist Churches, USA, and because FC alumni were among those she counted as friends at Camden Baptist Church. In her will, Mrs. Hinkle established this scholarship to help students from Carroll County, IN.
SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
The Hinkle scholarship is available to students from Carroll County in Indiana. Recipients must be full-time students in good standing with the college. Should there be no students attending Franklin College from Carroll County, the award may go to other deserving students. The financial aid office selects the recipients.
