E. Don & Joyce Tull Endowed Scholarship


SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND

Dr. Joyce Tull Hutcheon is a 1936 graduate of Franklin College. Throughout her life, she has been an active supporter of the college and its programs. She is an honorary trustee of the college and, in 2000, received an honorary degree. She established Franklin's E. Don and Joyce Tull Chair in Business and Management and the Tull Lecture Series in memory of her late husband, E. Don Tull, who was CEO of Cummins Engine Co. in Columbus, IN. The E. Don and Joyce Tull Endowed Scholarship also stands in memory of her husband. The award provides funds for outstanding students to attend Franklin College.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

The award is available to students who are among the top students in their high school class. Students must have an SAT score of 1100 or better, with neither math or verbal scores dropping below 500. The award can be renewed. Freshmen must maintain a 2.7 GPA to renew the award and upperclassmen must maintain a 3.0. Candidates will be selected by the financial aid office with input from faculty members.
