Chiarotti Family Endowed Scholarship
SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND
The Chiarotti Family Endowed Scholarship was established in honor and memory of Gloria Ann Hojna Chiarotti by John M. Chiarotti, Class of 1967, Kristen Chiarotti Prusiecki, Class of 1993, and John Michael Chiarotti, II, Class of 1996. Gloria was a graduate of Sinai School of Nursing in Detroit, Michigan. She dedicated her life to her family, friends and those in need. She retired from the nursing profession after 30 years, having spent the majority of her career caring for elderly at the Masonic Home in Franklin, Indiana. Gloria passed away in January 2004. Established in May 2006 with personal gifts and matching funds from the Lilly Endowment, Inc., this endowed scholarship is a tribute to Gloria's life and her memory by those who loved her most.
SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
The recipient must intend to pursue a science-related major. First consideration will be given to those planning a career in the medical field and maintaining a 3.0 grade point average. The recipient must exhibit outstanding academic and leadership qualities, and financial need must be demonstrated. Recipient(s) will be selected from among eligible students by the office of finacial aid in consultation with the Chair of the Natural Sciences Division.
