Scholarship Details
Doreen W. St. Clair Endowed Scholarship
SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND
This scholarship was established in honor of Doreen St. Clair's incredible commitment and contribution to the Franklin College community as a professor and friend. Her commitment to student education and development began the day she arrived on campus and continues into retirement. While Doreen has been a leader and experienced achievements in a wide variety of professional organizations, this scholarship is in recognition of her significant positive impact and influence she has made on Franklin College students' lives. That impact not only touched the student but also their families and friends and continues well beyond the Franklin College academic years. She continues to be sought out by those students for her professional expertise, her wise and ethical counsel and her friendship. She has led, by example, both professionally and personally. Her teaching always extended well beyond the classroom and her department. This scholarship is to support a student who has an interest in wellness and/or disease prevention and who has demonstrated a commitment to the community in these areas. It supports one of Doreen's interests in helping each of us to become a more complete and contributing individual in society.
