Scholarship Details
The Thurston Family Endowed Scholarship Fund
SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND
The Thurston Family Endowed Scholarship began in 1950 as a fund to honor one man, Dr. Herbert Thurston, a Franklin College graduate and a respected physician in Indianapolis. After his death, the college received many contributions to a memorial scholarship fund in his honor. Over time, the fund grew and gifts came in honoring other members of the Thurston family and their love of and commitment to Franklin College. Today, the award is known as the Thurston Family Endowed Scholarship.
SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
The Thurston Family Endowed Scholarship is available to Franklin College students in good standing. The college's financial aid office selects the recipients.
