Dietz Gifted and Talented Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND

While serving in World War II, Clifford Dietz told his wife, Paula, "If I get out of this alive, I'm going to do everything I can to help old and young people." The couple has remained true to that pledge. They have given generous gifts to many organizations, and their many donations to Franklin College have certainly helped young people. While the College has certainly benefited from the Dietzes' generosity, it is students who reap the ultimate rewards. Because of Drs. Clifford and Paula Dietz, Franklin students can participate in innovative programs; can attend classes with faculty who have traveled, done research and further explored their disciplines; and can live and study in comfortable, state-of-the-art facilities. The Dietz Gifted and Talented Scholarship is yet another way in which the couple is helping young people.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

As the name indicates, Dietz Gifted and Talented Scholarships are granted to students who are deemed to be among the most "gifted and talented" in all fields of academic pursuit (excluding athletics). The exact amount of the scholarship is determined by the student's academic performance and financial need. The financial aid office determines the recipients of the scholarship.
