Stanley G. and Carol D. Bush Endowed Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND

Sam and Alaine Bush, friends of Franklin College, have established an endowed scholarship in memory of Rev. Stanley G. Bush and in honor of Carol D. Bush. Rev. Bush was active in the American Baptist Churches USA and pastor of Second Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Johnson County, Indiana, for 26 years. Carol was an elementary school teacher for more than 40 years and taught in the Franklin Community School Corporation at Needham Elementary School for 27 years. This scholarship honors their passion for education and the greater Franklin community.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

First preference shall go to members of Second Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Franklin, First Baptist Church of Garrett or Hopewell Baptist Church of Holton, all in Indiana. Second preference shall go to a student demonstrating good citizenship and involvement in activities from Franklin Community High School. Third preference shall go to a student from any church affiliated with American Baptist Churches USA. Recipient(s) will be selected from among eligible students by the Office of Financial Aid.
