Introduction
You want to become a tour guide for a monument in Washington D.C.
First you must learn about the monument and know what to tell the tourists
about the monument. You have to learn the important facts as well as some
interesting ones to tell the tourists. Good luck on your mission of becoming
a tour guide in Washington D.C.

The Task
You have been assigned a monument in Washington D.C. You may have
the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, or the Jefferson Memorial. You
must search internet sites to find interesting facts to know what to tell
your tourists.
- Why is this president so important to have a monument?
- What is the monument made out of?
- How big is the monument?
- When was the monument built?
- Where is it located in Washington?
- How long did the monument take to build?
- Any interesting facts about the monument
Remember you are a tour guide so you want your information to be interesting
and of course correct for your tourist.
The Process
1.) First you will
get into your groups of 7 according to your monument.
2.) Next you will get a worksheet and then head to the computer lab with
Mrs. Casey.
3.) Click on the monument that you have: Lincoln Memorial
Washington Monument
Jefferson
Memorial
4.) Now look for the information
that is listed on your worksheet.
5.) Carefully fill in the answers using your best handwriting.
6.) If someone in your group has a question you may help them or if you
do not know raise your hand and Mrs. Casey or I will be there to help you.
*Remember that your hand writing
looks nice and your information is correct!
